Bot on a VM

As soon as I try starting the client the bot crashes for some reason.

Make sure DEP is disabled.

Are you talknig about this?

I’ve turned it off with cmd. Now when I start the chars from manager, all 6 log in and I’ve made them go clientless after 10 sec. After the 6th char goes online and clientless, the bots start crashing 1 by 1.

Where are you running the bot? Is it on a Windows VPS or in a VM with VMware/VirtualBox?

VM in VirtualBox. It’s weird because everything was working fine until last week when I reinstalled Windows on my pc and made new VMs.

Try VMware Workstation. I believe it’s free now.

I installed VMWare, but it doesn’t seem to be working correctly or I’ve messed it up. I tried starting the game and it hit me with HWID limit on the 1st character.

HWID limit on the bot? Technically it’s a different machine so you would need to reset it on phbot.org if you used all 3.

HWID on the VMs in sro, not bot. I tried making 2 different VMs with different network settings, first on NAT and the 2nd on Bridged and for some reason I can’t log in even with 1 character on the VM.

Clearly they have some kind of VM detection and don’t want you doing that.

That would be true, except I can open characters in VirtualBox with normal client no problem.
